year of presentation Winery Römerhof 06/06/2009
Hello,
better late than never. I would like to tell you now about the year of presentation in the winery Römerhof. It's been a while, but since I was on vacation and traveling, I'm only now.
So the presentation to Mr. Schmitz was as always very successful and perfectly organized.
There was live music from a saxophone player, Ulmenhof cheese and homemade culinary delights.
But the best was of course the wine.
I started with the Riesling liter dry. Very fresh and clear, distinct malic acid, as is typical in the 2008 vintage in the Mosel. He has a clear citrus notes, stands out above all grapefruit. Even a hint of green apple and unripe pear flatter the palate. Sweetness and acidity are balanced and auchd he is well integrated alcohol.
went on to say: the Gutsrieling, in which I had already fallen a few days earlier. This is one of my favorites of this vintage. He has a ungelaubliche aroma of various melons, honey and watermelon is all there. That makes him so fruity and fresh, good for the summer. A touch apple rounds also here the flavor profile.
also very balanced in all components, it is a really good summer companion.
The cabinet is dry with that. Slim as ever, he presented himself in the glass. Aromas of pear, unripe melon and white peach make this wine wonderfully easy and elegant. a slightly fruity acidity this wine is very good.
The late harvest dry is the first of the three sontanvergorenen wines this year. It is very unusual. Significantly herbaceous, spicy and vegetable flavors make the wine very unique. You must also like the spontaneous fermentation. The wine is fuller and wider than the others, which is typical of spontanvergorene wines.
This wine was very well and I was also extremely good. However, I am a friend of lean wines, and do what I often heavy with spontanvergorenen wines.
Next came the old vines, which was my second favorite. He was behaving a little shy and needs and ensure more time. But this wine has incredible potential. A very mild and balanced acidity matches up to the pleasant sweetness good. The content of 95 ° Oechsle speaks for itself. An aroma of peach, apricot, plum and ripe pear caress the palate and are still hesitant. But in a few weeks of this wine will explode with flavors. He is incredibly soft, velvety and creamy. The semi-dry
liter smelled subtly peach to apple and pear and a hint. He is a leichter Sommerwein für jede Gelegenheit.
If she is an adult, then that is an absolute top quality wine. Round and Harom are acid, sweetness and alcohol involved and flatter the wine. The lovely
liters of wine reminiscent of ripe summer fruits such as peach, apricot, pear and mango. In addition, a touch of white flowers with are in the process. A good companion for every day and also suitable for special occasions.
The lovely cabinet was soft and round in flavor of pear and a hint of pineapple. The distinct sweetness is well integrated and not obtrusive. The mineral is a good opponent here.
The lovely late harvest is also behave a bit but has beautiful notes to peaches and apricots. She needs a little time to show their full glory.
The highlight of course is the No. 1 late harvest, which is my fourth Favourit is. With 96 ° Öchsele and a RZ of almost 50 g / l but still fresh acidity makes it to the queen of wines. a distinct minerality completes the taste experience and makes the wine perfectly. Without blemish an absolute must for lovers of sweet late harvest. Intense aromas of pear and apple combined with raisins and dried pears make this a unique taste experience. But do not enjoy every day, but this wine must be!
So you can spend a day on the Mosel.
Esther
